SQUIRREL AND RABBIT RECIPES

IMG_2685.jpg

Squirrels and rabbits are usually two of the most misunderstood game meats out there. Non-hunters think they are too cute to eat and many hunters think they are a waste of time because of their size.

Well those hunters are wrong and the non-hunters may be right about them being cute, but they taste too good for me to pass up!

Both animals are super easy to break down and are simply some of the most tender game meats that you will ever come across when cooked properly. You can have a squirrel off the ground and ready for the pot in less than 2 minutes if you're handy with a pair of game shears.

I paired squirrels and rabbits together in the same department due to the simple facts that they are both small, mild flavor profiles and basically utilize the same cooking techniques.

“A recipe has no soul. You, as the cook, must bring soul to the recipe.”
